Dean and Shanna closed our new home loan in less than 2 weeks after my previous bank couldn’t meet the timeline to close. Dean got us a lower interest rate, was knowledgeable in all types of home loans, and closed on time. However, most importantly, Dean and Shanna were with us at every step and were present at our closing. This turned out to be very important, as the seller attempted to change the terms of our purchase at the last minute, but Dean very professionally and sternly reminded them of what they had agreed to. After 30 minutes of Dean “schooling” the homebuilder’s representatives, they relented and agreed to the original terms of sale. As a mortgage broker, Dean did not have to go out on a limb for us like he did, but we sure are glad he did!
Lastly, Dean and Shanna’s professionalism, knowledge of their business, and honesty sets the standard of what lenders should strive to achieve. We went back to them for a refi, and they advised me of the best approach and ended up getting us .5% lower rate and no closing costs.
They will tell you if buying/refinancing is a good idea given your situation. They are not out to “make a buck.” They will tell you what is in your best interest, even if that means not financing/refinancing.
